The company HLH Bio Pharma Vertriebs GmbH was founded in 1994 in Balve.
                       
While we were first distributing cosmetic products for external use against psoriasis and atopic dermatitis/atopic eczema, in 1996 the company introduced its probiotic product line and thus belong to the first companies in Germany being active on the probiotic market.

Today HLH is one of the leading German companies offering probiotic food supplements. For many doctors/lady doctors and nonmedical practitioners our product line Lactobact is a solid therapeutic part in natural healing.

HLH is the only German company that in 1996 - before having introduced its probiotic products – asked the Federal Ministry for Health being competent at that time to classify the products as food supplements. After a process of T E N years through all instances including European Court of Justice the probiotic product Lactobact was classified as food supplement by the Supreme Administrative Court Leipzig in July 2007.

Developments and studies, that were and are still carried out in cooperation with doctors, hospitals and the production company, are giving solid knowledge about the use of probiotic products.During special training events this knowledge has been transmitted to specialists for several years. Furthermore there are events giving information for final consumers.

Apart from our probiotic products there are orthomolecular products and enzymatic preparations which form a considerable part of our product line.
